Ecography Goes Open Access
We are delighted to announce that Ecography is now a full Gold Open Access journal. All papers from 1997 until today are free for everyone to read. To celebrate this, we have put together a virtual issue with a collection of the most downloaded and cited papers throughout time.
NSO is convinced that Open Access offers many advantages over traditional publishing and that the free and unlimited access to Ecography’s papers will strengthen the journal. The move to Open Access will not affect the editorial process — the scientific judgement of paper quality is independent of our publication model. The editorial board will continue to keep the quality of published papers at the highest scientific level. Moreover, researchers who produce high quality research but are economically constrained will be able to profit from a new waiver system.
