Markus Öst

Markus Öst is a behavioural and population ecologist and ornithologist, using waterfowl, in particular the eider duck, as his model system. His research makes use of long-term data from an intensively studied population of eider ducks from SW Finland. His research focus is on understanding the underpinnings of variation in cooperativeness, personality and cognitive traits, as well as links between behaviour and stress physiology.
