Isabel C Barrio

I am a terrestrial ecologist interested in how plants and herbivores interact. I focus on tundra ecosystems. I am leading an international research network, the Herbivory Network, that brings together researchers investigating the role of herbivores in alpine and arctic ecosystems worldwide. I am currently based at the Agricultural University of Iceland, where most of my research focuses on the ecological impacts of sheep grazings in their summer rangelands in the highlands of Iceland.
