I am a behavioural ecologist currently based at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute. My work is mainly focused on marine mammal foraging and movement ecology and how it links to social behaviour and acoustic communication. I am particularly interested in the drivers of top predator behavioural specialisation and on effects of environmental changes. I am the Principal Investigator of the Icelandic Orca Project, a long-term research and monitoring programme of the killer whales occurring in Icelandic coastal waters.
